Personal Support Worker
Status: Open Posting: 026-01765Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Personal Support Worker will work under the supervision of a Registered Healthcare Professional (RN or RPN), in a team based care model. As a member of the health care team, the Personal Support Worker provides direct quality personal care to patients in accordance with their respective plan of care. The PSW provides for the individual needs of assigned patients by facilitating, promoting and participating in the maintenance of the patients’ optimum level of physical, emotional, social, cultural, intellectual and spiritual function in accordance with their plan of care. The Personal Support Worker complies with the Occupational Health and Safety Standards for the hospital and is proactive in promoting a safe work environment.
