Registered Practical Nurse Clinical Extern
Status: Screening Posting: 026-01458Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare is seeking interested nursing students to join our Enhanced Extern Program. This is an exciting employment opportunity for these students to work in a clinical environment where they can develop and consolidate competencies to prepare to transition into a future registered role upon completion of their studies. The Clinical Extern may be considered for career opportunities upon graduation and licensure. The Clinical Extern will be working in the capacity as unregulated health care provider. The Clinical Externs work in collaboration with all team members and provide patient-centered care under the direct and/or indirect supervision of an identified Health Professional and who report to the unit manager. The Clinical Extern will practice in a manner consistent with the organizational values in alignment with the outlined job description, while considering the limitations in their ability to perform controlled acts as authorized by the professional colleges. Externs will be hired on contract, during which the Extern will work part time. The scheduling of these hours will be determined based on the unit needs and may include day/evening/ night and weekend shifts.
